If you think living nowadays is easier than it was in the past, you are wrong! This is because social values have put so much pressure on several aspects of our lives.


To begin with, people place importance on materialistic values. This attitude propels consumers to pursue what they believe the greatest goods - latest iPhones, branded bags, and luxury cars. However, they never can be satisfied but keep needing more. Thus, people in this modern society, where money become king and where lust is greater than needs, have become busy earning a living, spend less time with friends and families, and forget to live simply.


In addition, perfect physical appearance obsesses in people's mind. It is undoubted that advertisements of beauty products, for example, white skin lotion, can be seen countlessly. Moreover, a slim body shape culture makes people start eating weight loss pills, starving, and even doing cosmetic surgery, all of which can have harmful effects. Judging appealing look as a success factor, they deprive the real success of life - happiness.


As long as people give priority to material and external beauty, this misconception is continually instill in people's perception. As a result, life is more difficult.
